Yet again my boundaries are expanded, here is a Genuine American Deco designer of the highest quality
Pursell was born in Tennessee and studied at the Chicago Art Institute. He started as an illustrator for Life, Esquire, Forbes and other publications. In posters, he produced some of the finest American Art Deco designs for Coca-Cola, American Airlines, Standard Oil, the Chicago World’s Fair and others
I never knew who designed one of my favourite 1950s airline posters : until now !
