Progress and Harmony for Mankind – EXPO ’70, Japan World Exposition, Osaka (1967)

Yusaku Kamekura

Publisher:Published by the Japan Association for the 1970 World Exposition

Stock Number:G3421
This poster was designed by Japanese graphic design pioneer, Yasuku Kamekura. This very stylised modenist design is a play on the traditional graphic imagery of Japanese cherry blossom, where the gold segments also project like searchlights to share the Expo’s theme of Progress and Harmony.

Although the Osaka Expo was held in 1970, this promotional poster was issued in 1967.
