Commissioned by The Beatles’ management company NEMS, Avedon produced psychedelic portrait images of all four band members, plus a black-and-white group banner. These images were first published in Look Magazine in the US and later published in Stern magazine in Germany, The Daily Express in England, and Varagids in Holland.
