Its uncomfortable how often I come across a new artist (to me). Today it is Richard Beck’s turn. Much of what follows is courtesy of /recollection.com.au . Born in the UK and active in design pre war, he emigrated to Australia after serving in the Australian Imperial Force in WW2.
While in England, Beck did notable work for for his poster and publicity designs for London Transport, Shell Mex Ltd and the Orient Line.
Its difficult to stand out among LTs plethora of design talents but Beck more than holds his own with excellent works like these in the pre war period

When in Australia Beck established Richard Beck Associates design consultants in Melbourne, he did some ground breaking work for wineries, was an award winning packaging designer but will be remembere dbest for the work he did for the Melbourne Olympics in 1956
